Most designers use 'Flash' – a software program that packages and controls typography and graphics for their websites, whereas ours is built entirely in html.

Flash is great – it delivers a controlled result where all users should get the same experience – but it's not right for our clients. Many corporates don't like to load flash onto every computer, and without the flash plug-in you wouldn't be able to 'see' our site, so we had to find another solution. Still aesthetically pleasing and easily accessible but also quick to update and control inhouse without the knowledge of html lingo. Our answer is Komodo, a custom CMS developed in Melbourne. We've worked closely with the developers from its initial version, and use it because:

| it has text editing using a web browser;

| | we can add multimedia, links, images and pdf's easily;
|
| | we can edit/add via an internet connection anywhere; and
|
| | it has password protected areas for clients.
