The client:

The Supreme Court of Victoria is the superior court in Victoria. The Court is divided into two divisions — the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division.

The objective:

Use the Supreme Court’s photography in a design that details the activities of the court. Produce a PDF report that can be emailed to key stakeholders around the world.

The solution:

The 2009-2010 report was the fourth MBd produced on behalf of the Supreme Court.

The original brief was for a pdf production but each year the client was so delighted in the result that printed copies were requested. While the horizontal A4 format worked brilliantly for the PDF (because it perfectly suited to the proportion of most computer monitors) it wasn't easily printed in small quantities.

In 2010 we redesigned the report to a 210mm square format. Still easily read onscreen it is more economical to print on demand.
