Energy and Water Ombudsman identity

The client:

The Energy and Water Ombudsman provides independent advice, information and referral regarding Victorian energy and water services.

The problem:

The Energy and Water Ombudsman, Victoria's identity needed a refresh to ensure it was still relevant in a changing marketplace.

The solution:

A new design that emphasised the open and conciliatory nature of alternative dispute resolution.

The hand drawn circles represent the human role in arbitration – that's it's not a clinical black and white process. The circles are deliberately outlined to illustrate the transparent/open communication process.

The fact that there are three circles is important but they are deliberately ambiguous.
They can represent the conciliator, the client and the service provider, the three areas of EWOV's jurisdiction: gas, water and electricity or our three activities: Listening, Assisting, Resolving.
