Carol Mackay managed design studios before setting up Mackay
Branson design in 1984. Her interest is in using design to package
complex text into bite-sized chunks of information that are easy to
understand, and digest.
Carol's passion is the role typography plays in communication – how
different typefaces can 'speak' in different voices to different
markets. Careful selection of a typeface to represent an organisation
can ensure that the written word delivers the same message as a
physical presentation.
Greg Branson's passion is the research and development of
methods that improve design and design's role in business. His
value to MBd clients is his understanding of business systems coupled
with a thorough knowledge of design. This means he can translate the
most complex of strategies into deliverable, measurable outcomes.
Outside MBd, Greg is an influential member of the Australian design community. He founded the Design Business Council
the national leader in professional development for designers and
design clients, and is active on a variety of curriculum committees, at
VCE, TAFE and University level.
